Business & Industry Services Director

Accepting applications for Business & Industry Services Director.  Qualifications include three years successful experience in career tech as a teacher, coordinator or supervisor or equivalent combination of education and experience working in private industry; knowledge of industry training needs or requirements; knowledge of facility and safety operations; ability to obtain Business and Industry Services Certification (BISCP) within first year; bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent industry experience; preference may be given to one or more of the following: experience working as a teacher, coordinator or supervisor in an Oklahoma Technology Center; Career Tech Administrator Credential; BISCP Certification or related experience working in private industry. Prefer experience with supervision and evaluation of staff; prefer knowledge of federal and state policies, procedures, laws and regulations. Principal’s standard certification preferred not required. 

Additional Qualifications:  High level ability to work well with others; high level written and verbal communication skills; high level planning and organizational capability; operate within and build a cohesive team environment; develop, plan, schedule and implement Continuous School Improvement (CSI) action initiatives, activities, events and professional development; serve on emergency management team; read and interpret documents such as any policy and expectation documents, strategic plan, unified improvement plans, key performance measures indicators, staff contracts, evaluation rubrics, district, state and national policy documents, budget documents, curriculum and training proposals; effectively communicate with staff at all levels; effectively document all required paperwork and submit reports based on job responsibilities; high level social media communication skills and ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels; communicate effectively with board of education, administrators, staff and students; calculate figures and amounts as required for budgets and projects and interpreting statistical data; apply a common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form; deal with and resolve problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations; coordinate business and industry economic development partnership activities. 

Travel within the district, state, and occasional out-of-state is required.  Hours of work may vary.
