Long Term Care Aides play a vital role in the health care team. They help patients with routine healthcare needs, bedside care, and basic nursing procedures. They are often employed in long-term care facilities and hospitals. Additionally students are provided the opportunity to use the theory in practical clinical experiences. Students must pass the Oklahoma State Department of Health’s certification exam for long term care aides to work in most facilities.
