This career major will prepare a multi-skilled individual who may work in an acute care or clinical office setting in support role to licensed care givers. The course work includes a core curriculum central to a variety of health professions (HCC Core) as well Anatomy & Physiology, Medical Terminology, and First Aid/CPR . In addition, completers will be trained in skills and competencies essentials for Nurse Aids, EKG Technicians and Phlebotomists.

Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA) is a service organization for high school and adult students of industrial programs. HOSA provides opportunities for students to enhance their personal and leadership qualities through individual and group projects and through skill competitions which are held on local, state, and national levels.
