Wes Watkins Technology Center is dedicated to helping every student succeed. Well-equipped classrooms and computer labs enhance the student's learning capabilities. Our district serves portions of 4 counties; Okmulgee, Okfuskee, Hughes, McIntosh - which includes 10 partner schools.

Academic Center

Advancing technology creates a demand for employees with good mathematics, reading, and communication skills. WWTC assists students in meeting these needs through the Academic Center.

How Long Will It Take?

Students learn at their own pace and proceed forward when they become proficient in a particular area. After students complete the core of curriculum, they may choose an area of specialization which allows them to concentrate on skills that meet their specific needs.

Class Time

Class times are from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. and from 12:05 p.m. to 3:05 p.m., Monday through Friday. Students from the local Wetumka School District may participate in a "flex program enrollment" which allows them to attend WWTC for 1-2 hours in an effort to accomodate their home school schedule.

On-The-Job Experience/Internship

Within any field, there are many related occupations. On-the-job experience (OJE) or intership assists students in determining their area of specialization. It allows students to work in an environment to observe and experience the actual duties of a particular
occupation. WWTC works with numerous businesses to provide a productive OJE/internship opportunity.

Who Can Enroll?

High School

Juniors and Seniors from Dustin, Graham, Hanna, Holdenville, Mason, Moss, Okemah, Weleetka, and Wetumka, may enroll with no tuition fee. High school students may attend the morning or the afternoon session.

Adults

Adults may enroll on an open-entry/open-exit basis which means you may enroll at any time during the school year, according to program availability. They can attend full-time or part-time at current tuition rates.

Financial Aid

There are several programs of financial assistance available at Wes Watkins Technology Center to those who qualify. Assistance in filling out these forms may be provided to all students.
