Wes Watkins Technology Center held its annual completion ceremony Tuesday, May 8th, at 7 p.m., in the WWTC Seminar Center. Family members and guests also attended.  A reception was held after the ceremony.

Eighty-seven completers were presented with certificates.  Other awards presented included the Outstanding Program Completers and the George B. & Mary E. Williams Scholarship awards.  The highest honor, the WWTC Outstanding Student of the Year award, went to Nyssa J.C. Ward, a Computerized Information Student from Holdenville. First runner-up was Tiffany L. Sullivan, a Health Careers Certification student from Weleetka. Second runner-up was Sarah J. Casey, a Computerized Information Technology student from Okemah.

Two awards assemblies were also held May 8th, during the day.  The first assembly was held at 8:30 a.m. for morning students and the other at 12:30 p.m. for afternoon students.  Program awards included A.M. Student of the Year, P.M. Student of the Year and special awards presented by instructors.  Students were also recognized for perfect attendance and other special achievements.
