Due to the overwhelming response to the Crime Scene Investigation (CSI) Summer Camp, another camp has been added at WWTC July 13-16. The camp will be for next year's 7th and 8th grade students who will be attending partner schools from the WWTC District.
Only 70 students will be accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis to attend the four-day camp which will run from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. each day.
Buses will pick up and return students to selected locations. The bus will leave the schools at the following times: Hanna 8:20, Dustin 8:40, Graham 8:20, Weleetka 8:35, Wetumka 8:50, Mason 8:00, Okemah 8:20, Bearden 8:40, Holdenville 8:20, Moss 8:35.
A $15 registration fee is required and it will provide daily lunches, morning snacks and a camp t-shirt. Students will engage in hands-on activities in forensic science by collecting and analyzing evidence to solve a crime while learning about careers in the health care field.
The camp will be held on WWTC’s campus located 1½ miles west of Wetumka on Highway 9. It is being sponsored by Oklahoma Tech Prep and WWTC.
Pre-registration forms are due by June 30. For more information, contact Jodie Dunn, WWTC counselor, at 405.452.5500 ext. 2104.
