IT Network Support Specialist

IT Network Support Specialists are the front line in maintaining desktop computers and network operations. This program prepares students to be Desktop Technicians and Network Technicians. Students gain knowledge of the design and repair of desktop computers, the installation and configuring of the desktop operating system, the installation and set-up of Microsoft servicers, security for desktops and servers, Cisco introduction to networking and routing and switching essentials.

Students in this program learn the technical skills needed to obtain the CompTIA A+, Security+, and Network+ certifications as well as the Microsoft 70-740 Windows Installation, Storage and Computer Certification, the 70-698 Installing and Configuring Windows 10 Certification.

Students have the opportunity to be involved in Work-Based Learning through our Live Work Program that allows the student to do hands-on repairs of both hardware and software on computers that have actual problems.

Students receive training in one of the fastest-growing fields of employment in the State of Oklahoma. In addition to learning to repair/upgrade/configure PCs, students will learn how these computers communicate with servers, WiFi, Bluetooth, and across the Internet.

Students also have access to online labs that will greatly enhance his or her education.
