Residential Electrician's Assistant

This program is designed to prepare individuals for placement as an entry-level residential and commercial electrician. The program covers safety rules and regulations, related construction hand and power tools usage, basic electrical theory, National Electrical Code, installation, and material identification.

This program fulfills 1000 hours of the 4000 hours of apprenticeship experience required to apply for the Residential Electrical Journeyman examination

SkillsUSA is a national organization serving teachers and high school and adult students who are preparing for careers in technical, skilled and service occupations, and for further education. SkillsUSA provides opportunities for students to enhance their personal and leadership qualities through individual and group projects and through skill competitions which are held on local, state, and national levels.
